We are looking for an experienced Senior Strategic Buyer to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, develop commodity strategies, and drive cost-reduction activities. You will build strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, monitor market developments, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve purchasing objectives.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement, digitalisation, and sustainability initiatives within strategic purchasing.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

✔️ Initiate and drive strategic sourcing and cost-reduction initiatives.
✔️ Develop and implement commodity and segment purchasing strategies.
✔️ Establish supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement programmes.
✔️ Negotiate commercial agreements and coordinate supplier integration plans with internal stakeholders.
✔️ Monitor market trends affecting material and service availability, costs, and pricing.
✔️ Collaborate with internal teams to identify sourcing requirements and define supplier and market profiles.
✔️ Analyse marketplace trends and establish appropriate service levels.
✔️ Lead purchasing projects and processes independently, with limited supervision.
✔️ Support and coach junior purchasing professionals.
✔️ Contribute to transformation initiatives involving digitalisation and sustainability.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞

✔️ At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing, or buying.
✔️ Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and cost-reduction methodologies.
✔️ Experience developing and implementing purchasing or commodity strategies.
✔️ Proven supplier relationship management and contract negotiation skills.
✔️ Ability to analyse market dynamics and identify commercial opportunities.
✔️ Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
✔️ Ability to manage complex purchasing activities and projects independently.
✔️ A proactive approach to continuous improvement and business development.
