Infrastructure Engineer Consultant

HPE NonStop Infrastructure Engineer Consultant for on-site assignment in Stockholm.

The primary objective is to:

> Ensure stable and secure operation of the HP NonStop infrastructure

> Support and execute a forthcoming lifecycle management initiative

> Provide deep technical expertise in HP NonStop environments

> Deliver high-quality outcomes within a small, high-performing team

Operational Support

The consultant will:

> Monitor and maintain the HP NonStop environment to ensure optimal availability and performance

> Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis

> Handle system administration tasks including configuration, patching, and upgrades

Infrastructure Management

> Install, configure, and maintain HP NonStop systems and related components

> Manage system resources (CPU, storage, networking, and I/O)

> Ensure compliance with operational and security standards

Lifecycle Management (Critical Deliverable)

A key component of the assignment is to support and execute an upcoming lifecycle initiative for the NonStop environment, including:

> Assessment of current platform state and identification of end-of-life components

> Planning and execution of system upgrades and modernization activities

> Ensuring compatibility across hardware, OS, and applications

> Supporting strategic decisions related to future platform direction

> Minimizing risk and downtime during lifecycle transitions

The consultant is expected to deliver:

> Stable and reliable day-to-day operation of the NonStop environment

> Documented lifecycle plan and execution activities

> Implementation of required system upgrades and improvements

> Knowledge transfer and documentation for internal team usage

> Proactive recommendations to improve system performance and resilience

The consultant will work within a small team, requiring:

> High degree of self-sufficiency and ownership

> Ability to work independently and drive tasks end-to-end

> Active collaboration and knowledge sharing with team members is required

> The consultant is expected to act as a senior subject matter expert (SME)
