The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Test Engineer within the MACH Control System integration team and contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of advanced control systems used in critical energy this role you will work in a stateoftheart test lab environment building and maintaining test setups executing validation activities and supporting the development of highperformance control systems. You will collaborate closely with development teams while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in testing processes and automation.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Set up and maintain test environments using MACH Control System components including hardware servers I/O boards and simulation platforms

• Develop and execute test cases and scenarios to validate system functionalities such as communication analog and digital signals

• Perform testing for software and hardware releases ensuring accurate reporting of results to development teams

• Maintain and update lab environments with the latest hardware and software configurations

• Automate test execution using internal test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage

• Support integration team activities including lab maintenance license management and customer support

• Ensure high quality standards through structured testing and attention to detail while maintaining a system-level perspective

• Uphold Hitachi Energys core values of safety and integrity in all activities

Your Background

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Electronics or a related field

• 3 years of experience in embedded systems development or testing; ISTQB certification is an advantage

• Knowledge of testing methodologies automation frameworks scripting and tools such as Microsoft OS SQL Azure DevOps/TFS

• Experience with graphical tools (e.g. Hidraw MACH platform) and measurement equipment is a plus

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to understand the bigger system context

• Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage with strong teamwork and ownership mindset
