Job Mission :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our Lifting Automation division within the RoW team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and expanding our presence in the SEA and Southern Africa regions. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to develop and implement strategic sales plans, contributing to our mission of advancing automation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve growth and profitability targets in the SEA and Southern Africa regions.
  • Identify and establish relationships with potential customers, distributors, and partners.
  • Manage existing accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer requirements.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
  • Travel extensively within the region to meet clients and attend industry events (expectation of travel every 5-7 weeks).
  • Develop and expand partnerships within the region to drive business growth.
  • Oversee the operations of the LA division in India, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES :

  • Strong understanding of the SEA and Southern Africa markets and cultural nuances.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience from working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages relevant to the regions are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region (every 5-7 weeks).
  • EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION :

  • 3+ years of proven experience within export sales or business development.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher within business, economics, or similar.
  • Experience in managing operations and partnerships in diverse markets is highly desirable.
