In Sweden, Ahlstrom has several facilities. At the integrated mill in Billingsfors, pulp is produced which is further processed into Thin paper and Spantex. We are about employees.

Your main task is to be responsible for the production and delivery of the volumes we acquire through our field organization. You will assist with flow issues and inventory management of the volumes we acquire externally to our own industry in Billingsfors. The role also involves contact with our customers, both forest owners and external industries. You work primarily with operational issues but are also expected to assist in the company's strategy work. The work is independent with great freedom under responsibility.

You are the one who creates the conditions for our felling resources so that they can carry out their assignments in the best possible way. To succeed in your work as a production leader, we believe that you are independent and results-oriented, have a distinct sense of order and planning as well as a large portion of drive and environmental awareness.

We are a small and dynamic organization with short decision paths and you get good support from management and colleagues. You will be part of the team in the Wood department.

In order to be successful in this position, you should have a forestry education and / or several years of forestry professional experience. Experience in purchasing timber and felling management is an advantage.

The position is placed in the Wood department in Billingsfors. The work includes external contacts with forest owners, entrepreneurs, authorities and other organizations. Internal contacts mainly within the Wood-department, but also partly towards administration and production at the Billingsfors plant.

Duties and responsibilities :

• Managing and planning acquired cutting objects
• Production-planning of cutting objects.
• Production- and delivery management of a range of assortments
• Administrative work regarding production of wood
• Delivery-management in cooperation with transporting companies
• To some extent occasionally purchasing of wood from local forest owners, and in some cases act as part in central purchasing.
• Assure that safety regulations on the area are followed.
• Follow instructions regarding the business and the set economic framework.
• Drawing up contracts and instructions for our entrepreneurs.
• Keep the business area within the framework of current legislation, and certification regulations.
• Lead by example in areas of safety and working environment, to keep up a good standard both in inner and outer areas with regard to applicable standards.

Education and Competence Requirements :

Basic forestry skills comparative to Forest Technician.

Swedish driver's license B

SYN´s Cultural and Environmental Care license and competence in Natural Value Assessment.

Knowledge on the FSC and PEFC routines that are relevant.

Good knowledge and experience of forestry consultancy and planning, felling, thinning and forest management in the form of land preparation, planting and clearing, as well as forestry plans.
