We are seeking a business-oriented CFO for Saab Brazil with extensive finance experience and demonstrated leadership abilities. This role is based in our São Paulo office and includes travel throughout Brazil and the LATAM region.

As the CFO, you will represent Saab in various capacities, requiring a high degree of independence, flexibility, and a deep interest in all facets of Saab's business in LATAM. You will be a kay member of the Saab Brazil Management Team, reporting directly to the Managing Director while also having a reporting line to the CFO of Aeronautics. A strong network within the Saab organization in Sweden is essential for this role.

Your role

Saab have offices in Brazil, Chile and Colombia and as the CFO of Saab Brazil you are responsible for all financial matters, including both controlling and accounting. Additionally, you have the responsibility for Company Governance and support our entities in Bogotá and Santiago. The Finance organization contains approximately 10 employees.

The responsibilities of this role include :

• Ensuring that Saab Brazil adheres to Saab’s expectations and meets group reporting deadlines
• Overseeing the Controlling and Accounting functions
• Safeguarding and enhancing accounting and internal control standards
• Ensuring compliance with Brazilian laws and regulations related to taxes, customs, export control, workplace environment, and legal permits
• Developing financial processes and systems
• Driving continuous improvements within the organization
• Serving as the Secretary of the Steering Committee for Saab Brazil.
• Managing external financial relationships, including local auditors, banks, and legal advisors

Your profile

The role is positioned in a challenging, rapidly growing, and complex international environment. A strong background in leadership roles within finance is essential, along with extensive experience in business controlling, treasury, accounting, tax, customs, and logistics. A well-established network within the Saab organization in Sweden and a solid understanding of the current Gripen business are crucial. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are important.

As the CFO you must be prepared to meet high expectations and handle a variety of tasks, often with short lead times. You should be deeply rooted in Saab's values and demonstrate them in your daily work. Additionally, you'll be responsible for driving efforts to establish an efficient operation and achieve profitable business in Brazil. The role also involves travel within LATAM, where you will represent Saab in various capacities, requiring independence, flexibility, and a keen interest in all aspects of Saab's business in the region.
