Description

We are now looking for a Cluster Business Controller at Hitachi Energy, Grid Automation Service business in Vaasa, Finland. In this role, you will act as a business partner to the local operations manager to optimize financial performance within the assigned reporting units within the Cluster. You will be supporting effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate alternatives, recommend and support implementation of the most appropriate solutions. The Cluster Controller Nordics is responsible for the local Grid Automation Service units in Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Your responsibilities

  • Contribute as key partner to the local and cluster execution team leads in determining and developing the execution model in alignment to the operation unit strategy.
  • Translate financial position into realistic forecasts and establish actions and measurable targets to enhance financial return.
  • Support the tender risk management process related to the scope assigned to the local units, mainly regarding tender calculations (full cost model), project cash flow and exposure analysis including foreign exchange, risk and opportunity assessments and other commercial items.
  • Support Project Controllers and Project Managers in all financial and commercial matters and actively drive the performance of the projects supplied by the local unit. Drive project cash flow and oversee currency risk and tax issues.
  • Ensure transparency and high quality in financial reporting, and compliance with internal controls and official reporting standards (IFRS)
  • Facilitate best practice sharing in consistency with controlling practices within Operation Unit, Hub and Country.
  • Support the development, staffing and direction of the Local Controlling Organization in collaboration with HR Business Partners and the Operation Unit leadership team.

Your background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration or other Finance related field.
  • Several years of business controlling experience in project / financial controlling in a leadership position
  • Good knowledge of SAP.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel - complex formula, pivots, modelling).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Structured thinking and flair for numbers.
  • Customer and business oriented.
  • Team spirit and strong commercial and communication skills.
