Your future area of responsibility : IT service management in Department 14
Department 14 has around 80 employees and is responsible in particular for information technology, digitalization, e-government and information security. The digital transformation of the NRW state administration will require the expansion and conversion of IT services and the technical infrastructure in the coming years, which will serve as the basis for the e-government basic components and for central specialist procedures and corresponding services.
Your tasks :
You will ensure the functionality and further development of IT service management and the IT infrastructure.
This includes in particular
Ensuring the operation of a customer-oriented service desk and managing the further development of future-proof IT working environments (PC, mobile devices, software)
Direct involvement in the modernization and digitalization of our information technology in conjunction with the optimization of business processes
What you need to bring with you : The requirements profile
Professional :
Successfully completed scientific university studies in the fields of computer science, business informatics, geoinformatics, mathematics, electrical engineering, technology or comparable disciplines with a proven focus on information technology
Successfully completed academic studies in a comparable subject and the professional experience required under the first indent "desirable" (proof of this must be enclosed with the application, otherwise your application cannot be considered)
The following professional criteria are also desirable
The practical application of IT service management according to ITIL
The advertisement is also aimed at civil servants in the career paths of special specialization (technical service) of the federal, state or local administration with a specialist focus on applied computer science in an office of grade A 13 or A 14 LBesO A NRW (or relevant LBesO A or BBesO).
Important :
If the requirements under career law are met, there is the possibility of being made a civil servant in grade A 13 LBesO A NRW.
Applicants who are already civil servants can only be transferred with the same status. Leap promotions are excluded.
A transfer of full duties and responsibilities and thus a classification in pay group 14 TV-L will only take place if you have completed your studies via a
at least three years of professional and management experience
in the areas listed under "desirable" in the first indent. In all other cases, you will initially be employed in pay group 13 TV-L and prepared for higher-value activities.

A pre-selection will be made on the basis of the documents submitted. It is planned to hold selection interviews before a decision is made on filling the position.
The employment relationship is based on the collective agreement of the federal states (TV-L).
In principle, there are opportunities for further development in accordance with EG 14 Part I EGO to TV-L.
In the case of civil servant applicants, only a transfer with the same status up to an office in grade A 14 LBesO A NRW can take place. Leap promotions are excluded.
Part-time employment is generally possible.
