Purpose of the role :

Chubb is growing and we are looking for a passionate Natural Resources Underwriter to join our team in the Nordics. In the role as Underwriter, you will focus specifically on Natural Resources.

We require someone to develop and assist in underwriting Contractors All Risks and Power Generation risks associated with Natural Resources. Maintaining and building relationships with our Nordic brokers community with an ambition to write additional new business, which will be key to the success of this role, as well as growing the existing portfolio in line with our agreed growth targets, pricing, and retention budget.

You make an impact and strengthen our market position by :

Building and maintaining good relationships with brokers.
Promoting our capabilities and building of a profitable Natural Resources portfolio.
Strong commercial drive, always looking for new opportunities and value service and quality.
Ensuring quality control by means of including underwriting and peer reviews.
Representing and promoting Chubb to brokers and clients.
Delivering strong service to brokers and clients, responding to cross-sell and new business opportunities and monitoring retention.
Meeting the portfolio product line objectives for each underwriting year.
Assisting in underwriting CAR / EAR and B&M LOBs to achieving underwriting profitability.

Qualifications :

Fundamental understanding of and experience from underwriting processes preferably within construction, power generation or property underwriting, the insurance market, and competitors.

Degree in Engineering or technical experience background with an interest for new technologies.

A strong commercial drive and very customer-oriented approach.

Experience from client servicing preferably from the insurance industry.

Demonstrated skills in building and maintaining client relationships preferably from the insurance industry.

Results driven, disciplined and ambitious with ability to work on own initiative.

Good communicator and fluent in Swedish (or another Nordic language) and high level of English written as well as spoken.
