IT Specialist, Network Global IT Support

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

Role purpose : IT Specialist, Network in Sweden is responsible for providing support for daily network operational matters and has an engineering thinking when it comes to completing requests from business. Makes sure that LAN is overall healthy, meaning network operations are stable and secure. Reviewes and refreshes documentations on a regular basis. Keeps track of network hardware intentory. Ensures that Hydro GBS IT Architecture, Security, Operational standards, Policies and Strategy are followed on the supported locations, also that requirements from business are understood.

Responsibilities :

• Monitoring, configuring, and maintaining network hardware (WLC, APs, L2 and L3 switches) – mainly from Cisco
• Troubleshooting network issues and completing requests via tickets
• Maintain documentation about LAN setup
• Complying with company strandards and policies (e.g. IT Architecture, IT Security, Standard Operating Procedures)
• Participation in projects that involve network (e.g. EIT - ICS segregation)
• Cooperation with PLC technicians (OT environment)
• Complying with HSSE regulations, policies

• Participating in the on-call duty once a month
